Musician & Composer for more than 50 years, Charles is the Executive Producer/Director/ Composer for the national knownRecording Artist & Peer Mediation Group "Mixed Generation", founded by him in 1994. Composer of (complete) MotionPicture Sound Track "Brew City",
Composer of National Theme Song for the Million Youth March, "Million Youth On The Move", Composer of Film Documentary "We The Children", Composer of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Movement Theme Song "Victory Over Violence" and finally he Composed the Safe night USA theme "Safe Night USA" performed vianationwide satellite on BET and on over 100 public broadcast stations in June 1999.

Charles has a background in music dating back to the Milwaukee Conservatory of Music at age 10. Charles is an accomplished Bass Player and began the musical group, The New Generation at the age 14 that traveled and performed with such artist as Kool & the Gang, The Staple Singers and The Ohio Players. More recent performances with his group Mixed Generation include the Cleveland, Ohio Convention Center with Eddie/Gerald Levert, the Chilites & the Stylistics. From Atlanta, Georgia performing “live”, on C-SPN at the Million Youth Movement to Orlando Florida’s Disney Epcot Center “live” with Bobby Jones Gospel Explosion. Now a seasoned veteran in music and lyrics Charles L. Walton has dedicated his life to composing songs with distinct messages that touch the minds and spirits to the general populist. Charles has composed
and produced songs for such artist as Kenneth Perry Sr., Mixed Generation, New Generation, IMAJ and Edna
Fitzpatrick.

FOUNDER/CEO MIXED GENERATION RECORDS & PUBLISHING INC.
Mixed Generation Records & Publishing Company a member of A.S.C.A.P. and BMI was founded in 1997. Initially it served as a recording studio primarily for the Mixed Generation projects. Now incorporated with its own record label, Mixed Generation Records (M-X-G Records), provides composing, recording, mixing and mastering (including video production), for a variety of local and national artist. Outside of being the producer Charles, composes lyrics and assists inmusical arrangements.

Charles’ current aspiration is to take Mixed Generation Records to higher heights with selective professional artist signed under MIXED-G Records by providing complete portfolios (music, video, bios, photo, websites), for the purpose of creating high success for the artist by obtaining signature with national/worldwide major record companies.
Charles’ talents and expertise have aided in his success to achieving his goal in helping the youth of our world communities who he refers to as “diamonds in the rough”, by making their dreams a reality. Charles has touched hundreds of lives from grade/middle and high school to college students to becoming college graduates.

PERSONAL:
Born in Mount Bayou, Mississippi, Charles came to Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the age of 5. Brought up by strong religious parents that were also active in the civil rights movement, Charles had the honor and privilege of participating in many anti- violence and de-segregation activities in Milwaukee and even at the age of 10, he attended, the “March on Washington,” with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. when the Dr. King’s historical “I Have A Dream” speech was delivered.

Since the early age of 16, he decided to dedicate his life and well-being to helping the youth and families of our communities. “I will continue to utilize all my skills, knowledge and resources for the betterment of the world through my actions as a Social Service Director, Producer, Composer, Musician, Television Producer and most importantly a Servant to those in need. My strength comes from my belief in “God”, who has provided me not only with life but, the ability of being creative, resourceful and strong in my continued strive for peace and love for all Man Kind. My most valuable reward does not come from financial gain but, from the fact of knowing that my originally composed words in my songs have touch the lives of people of different ages, gender, religions and cultures in many ways by installing; hope, motivation, comfort and even spiritual guidance”.
